Tech & Learning Names ManagedMethods a 2021 Awards of Excellence for Remote Learning Winner
ManagedMethods Deemed a Standout Product For Helping Students, Parents, and Teachers Succeed in New Learning Environments
BOULDER, Colo.—March 2, 2021—ManagedMethods, the leading Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 cybersecurity, student safety and compliance platform for K-12 school districts, today announced the company has been named a winner in Tech & Learning’s 2021 Awards of Excellence for Remote Learning program.
As schools pivoted from in-person to remote and blended learning this past year, technology solutions were key to delivering quality, continuous learning. To celebrate the work technology providers who stepped up to support this effort, Tech & Learning launched “The Best Tools for Remote & Blended Learning,” a new offering in its legacy Awards of Excellence program.
The past year presented new challenges for district administrators in regards to monitoring cybersecurity, data privacy, and student safety threats in a remote environment. Students, teachers, and staff increasingly use video conferencing and cloud-based collaboration EdTech tools outside the school building. The increased activity outside the district’s security perimeter created new vulnerabilities in schools.
To help make schools safer in remote learning environments, ManagedMethods introduced new Google Meet & Chat monitoring and reporting, along with Google Classroom monitoring and reporting features. These features help better protect students and staff in the cloud applications used more frequently in remote learning—giving district IT admins more visibility and control in their cloud environment.
