In Fond Memory of Stefan Kreisselmeier

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that beloved Trusted Computing Group (TCG) member and friend, Stefan Kreisselmeier (aka Stefan Thom), passed away this month after a valiant battle with cancer. A loving father of three children, our thoughts go out to his family at this time.

In TCG, we have had the benefit of spending time with Stefan, travelling the world and collaborating on security standards. Stefan was a prolific inventor and creatively applied Trusted Computing techniques in new ways to increase their benefit, improve security and build bridges across different communities. In fact, most of the commercial features in Microsoft products that use the TPM were touched by Stefan’s innovative ideas, hard work and genius. Stefan loved talking technical, brainstorming ideas, writing security code and tinkering with hardware and software with the desire to drive discovery – so much so that he couldn’t imagine ever retiring. We invite our colleagues to share the memories they have with Stefan, remembering him and his vibrant character throughout the years.
