Alert Logic Achieves AWS Container Security Competency Status

Things are still just getting started at AWS re:Invent, but we have some exciting news. Alert Logic announced today that our threat management offering has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Container Competency Status.

AWS Competency Program

AWS allows organizations from startups to large enterprises to embrace cloud computing with scalable, flexible and cost-effective solutions. AWS offers a diverse array of platforms and services, and there are a wide variety of industry consultants and professional or managed service providers to help companies adopt and manage AWS cloud computing effectively.

AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and technical expertise in specific areas, such as AWS security. The AWS Container competency designation recognizes Alert Logic’s technical strength and demonstrated success in helping companies leverage containers and container-based solutions to build, test, release and scale at any size.

Alert Logic SIEMless Threat Management

Alert Logic Network Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and log management for containers allows for real-time detection of known and unknown exploits that target applications running in containers on Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Beanstalk, Docker Swarm, CoreOS, Azure Kubernetes Service, Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), and Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

“With Alert Logic Network IDS and log management for containers, organizations gain a simplified, comprehensive picture of their risk through improved visibility into virtually any workload, in any container, in their range of environments,” said Chris Noell, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Alert Logic. “Businesses gain the ability to collect, aggregate and search container log data for improved security and compliance. We’re thrilled to achieve this important designation and that customers will be able to easily find and download our threat detection platform on AWS Marketplace.”

“Introducing AWS containers with Amazon ECS to our organization has allowed us to build and deploy our complex loyalty applications very efficiently,” said Nick Boccone, Vice President of Infrastructure and Security, Engage People, Inc. “We can rely on Alert Logic to provide deep insights into the security health of our containers, allowing us to spend more time innovating and deploying new features.”
