How to Improve Your Cloud and Container Security

Cloud architecture is the organization of components and capabilities that are necessary in order to leverage the power of cloud resources. Following the recent mass migration to the cloud, organizations are embracing best practices for architecting and securing the cloud. However, it has not been an easy journey and many have made mistakes along the way.

In this interview, Sarah Young, security architect at Microsoft, reveals the most common mistake organizations make when moving to the cloud and explains what you can do to secure your cloud and Kubernetes clusters.

Sarah has been part of the tech world for about 10 years. She is also the co-host of the Azure Security Podcast, a podcast dedicated to all things relating to cybersecurity, privacy, compliance and reliability on the Microsoft Cloud Platform.

Sarah will be taking a deep dive into cloud and container security at Secure Coding Virtual Summit on March 24. During her session, “How to Loose a Container in 10 Minutes,” she will discuss both the mindset shift and tech challenges that most teams go through when migrating to the cloud and deploying containers. Sarah will share insights from her ongoing research about how easy (or not) it is to get a container or Kubernetes cluster hacked on purpose.
