ForgeRock 2020 Wrapped
CEO Perspective
In 2020 we witnessed radical changes in how we live, work and play, requiring all of us to embrace “remote everything.” The world’s reliance on digital access has never been more profound, and watching how our customers stepped up to new challenges to keep their virtual doors open has been inspiring.
Some of the customer stories I’ve heard this year stand out because of their massive scale and transformative effects. A luxury car maker was able to onboard 25 million new consumer and workforce applications in just seconds. A financial services customer was able to deploy the recent release of the ForgeRock platform in just 25% of the time that it took them to deploy earlier versions – and they did this using just half the number of resources previously required. And one of our major healthcare customers was able to identify 550,000 excess entitlements among 14.6 million assignments within three hours and reduce their cybersecurity risk.
The enhancements we made to the ForgeRock Identity Platform this year were incredible, and when combined with our commitment to customer success, it was truly a special year at ForgeRock. We hired nearly two hundred new ForgeRockers to the team, deepened relationships with our partners, onboarded exciting new customers like Calabrio and BTPN Bank, and grew existing relationships with Allianz, BMW, BBC, Verizon, Australian Securities Exchange and WW (Weight Watchers). And topping it off was industry recognition from three major industry analyst firms that named ForgeRock an identity and access management leader.
I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Take a look at some of the highlights.
A Growing Presence in the Cloud
We made significant investments in the ForgeRock Identity Cloud and our Cloud Success operational model, keeping our customers top of mind as we rolled out new features. We took configurability to the next level to enable customers to deliver superior omnichannel experiences to their users and secure all of their workforce and consumer identities. We introduced a one-subscription model to provide complete deployment flexibility in data centers, private clouds or public cloud. And, our full tenant isolation ensures that all customer data is stored separately so you can rest easy knowing that your data is safe and secure.
Platform Upgrades
We introduced one of our biggest ForgeRock Identity Platform updates in company history. The addition of AI-driven intelligence in ForgeRock Autonomous Identity provides a deeper understanding of the risks associated with user access and reduces costs. We also introduced ForgeRock Intelligent Access, which helps customers create seamless and secure experiences that adapt to your users’ needs in real time. This new release also added ForgeRock Go, making passwords and usernames a thing of the past.
Expanding Our Partner Network
Our Trust Network continues to be one of our greatest assets as it has expanded to over 90 technology partners extending the value of the ForgeRock Identity Platform. Today nearly half of our new customers will leverage at least one Trust Network partner as part of their complete Identity Solution. Our partnership program gained momentum as we expanded relationships with Google Cloud, AWS and Microsoft. In April, we joined the Google Cloud co-sell program and our Google Cloud marketplace listing, which will enable us to further expand our sales pipeline, is coming soon. We continued to expand our partnership with AWS as an advanced technology partner, and joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) in September, providing an integration with Microsoft Cloud Security services to help reduce risk and strengthen compliance for our joint customers.
Corporate Updates
We’re excited to share that ForgeRock earned major recognition from top industry analysts this year. We’ve been named a leader in access management and customer identity and access management (CIAM) – by top analyst firms. These analysts have highlighted our ability to provide exceptional digital experiences while meeting our customers’ requirements for security, privacy and compliance.
ForgeRock also achieved an important milestone that put us one step closer to becoming one of the premier digital identity companies in the market. In April, we secured an additional $93.5 million in Series E funding led by Riverwood Capital, with our existing investors, Accel, Meritech Capital, Foundation Capital and KKR Growth also participating.
We want to thank all of you – our customers, partners and employees – for your support and hard work this year. As we move into 2021, we will continue to stay focused on our purpose: to help people simply and safely access the connected world.
I wish you a healthy, safe and joyful holiday season!
