Cybersecurity Expert Dr. Shane Shook Joins BehavioSec Board of Directors

We’re at a pivotal point in cybersecurity’s evolution. Digital transformation has increased operational agility, data availability, work enablement and customer engagement for a multitude of organizations.  Unfortunately, while these digital technologies improve access and efficiency they also offer more opportunity for cybercriminals as they evolve- and they’re evolving faster than ever before. Change that unfolded over years now advances in a matter of months, quickly expanding opportunities as well as risks.

In an environment of ever enlarging security parameters, it’s critical that both the businesses who buy and those that supply cybersecurity solutions are quick to foresee and address potential cyber risks. True cyber resiliency is an ongoing process, one that requires strategic expertise in order to be successful but also collaboration and creativity. That’s why I’m happy to announce the addition of Dr. Shane Shook to BehavioSec’s board of directors.

Shane is a recognized information technology and security authority who brings more than 30 years’ experience in the field of cyber forensics to his newest role on our board. Beginning his career as a Cryptologic Linguist in the United States Air Force, Shane has advised and led teams in risk and incident management at multiple Global Fortune 100 companies, including as an independent consultant with McAfee and as a managing director at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, among others.  He has also often been called as an expert witness, providing testimony on technical matters for the state and federal courts.

With a background in data privacy, secure source code development, systems architecture, and artificial intelligence spanning a multitude of industries and markets – including banking and financial services, healthcare, and retail – Shane has a deep understanding of today’s most pressing cybersecurity and business technology issues. He has assisted companies in the US, Canada, the UK, and Japan with understanding market needs and appetites – and helped facilitate the entry of critical cyber security and investigative capabilities in each. His insight will be invaluable in providing the kind of critical analysis needed in the ongoing innovation of our behavioral biometrics solutions to successfully address them.

On behalf of myself and BehavioSec, I want to congratulate and welcome Shane on becoming our newest board member, and I look forward to what will no doubt be his many positive contributions to our continued progress.
