Last Monday, we released a post with a review on the much-publicized attacks of the week. Today, we are going to continue this series of articles with a new compilation of breaches of the week 22.
Bank of Montreal was contacted by fraudsters

Bank of Montreal confirmed being contacted by fraudsters. The attackers claimed that they have obtained the critical financial data of the customers. The bank’s representatives didn’t mention the exact number of compromised records, but contacted all the possibly affected clients.
Roseburg Public Schools are paying ransom
Roseburg Public Schools finally have chosen to pay ransom in order to recover the crucial information. The Roseburg Schools Superintendent did not publicize the ransom amount. The officials say that student and staff information was not accessed.
Ticketfly website is taken down
Ticket distribution service Ticketfly became a victim of a sabotage attack. After learning about the incident, the company took down the website immediately. The customers that had made ticket purchases recently were asked to bring proof of purchase or identification to shows.
An Indian manufacturing firm suffers an espionage attack

Bangalore Refinery (P) Ltd, the company that offers solutions to metal refining, gold coins and bars, jewelry findings and others, became a victim of hackers. Indian export and manufacturing firm had its critical data compromised due to the malware on its servers. The police has launched an investigation.
