GitHub Show/Hide Guardrails Checks In Pull Requests
We’ve enhanced our existing configuration to show/hide GuardRails checks in Pull Requests. Instead of just “Enabled” (Show) or “Disabled” (Hide) for public repositories, users can now choose and configure to their operational needs.
Here is how to configure checks based on your needs:
Step 1
Access the General Settings page in the GuardRails dashboard. You’ll see a “Show GuardRails checks in Pull Request” configuration under the “Report” section.
Step 2
Expand the dropdown menu; you’ll now see several options to choose from:
- “Enabled For All Repositories” will show GuardRails checks in the pull request, and is applied to all repositories
- “Disabled For All Repositories” will hide GuardRails checks in the pull request, and is applied to all repositories
- “Disabled For Public Repositories Only” will only show GuardRails checks in the pull requests of Private repositories, and will hide checks in the pull requests of Public repositories
Notes
- Only users with user roles of “Security Engineer”, “Admin”, or “Owner” can see the General Settings page.
- This configuration is only available for GitHub for now. We will migrate this configuration to other Git Providers (GitLab and BitBucket) soon.
