Demo for a donation

Entrust is exhibiting at this year’s IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona at the end of January, and I’m proud to be part of a new initiative Entrust is undertaking at the event we’re calling “Demo for a donation.”

A standard part of all events like this is the ‘swag’ offered by all the exhibitors. But with the event theme of “Game Changing,” we got to thinking that instead of little branded tchotchkes like pens, stress balls or socks, we want to change the game by donating to charities that focus on kids in tech.

Together with our exhibition partner Device Authority, we are contributing to the education and development of young minds in the digital world, the young people who will one day “change the game” in the world of cyber security.

If you’re attending the event, helping us to achieve this aim couldn’t be simpler:

  • Drop by booth D441 in Hall 4 and chat with an Entrust or Device Authority expert
  • For every badge scanned Entrust will donate $10 to your choice of one of three charities
  • You will receive a thank you card confirming the donation

The three charities we have selected are as follows:

  • Every Child Online– a UK-based charity that provides refurbished PCs, laptops and tablets to underprivileged children for free. The charity’s goal is to help close the digital divide and improve the quality of digital education offered in schools.
  • CODE– a US-based charity, it is an education innovation non-profit dedicated to the vision that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education.
  • Technovation Girls – a global charity that equips young women to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. With the support of volunteer mentors and parents, girls work in teams to code mobile apps that address real-world problems.

I’ll also be presenting together with an expert from Device Authority at two sessions during the show on the topics of Zero Trust Security in the Connected Supply Chain and The Challenges and Considerations of Preparing IoT for PQ. They’re both hot topics of discussion, so if either (or both) of those sound of interest, come by and check them out, I’d love to know if you have any questions.

As well as feeling good about helping support one of these fantastic charities, you can also get a pick me up in the form of a candy treat from our “Sugar bar,” so be sure to stop by the Entrust/Device Authority booth and speak to one of our experts.
