Hi, I’m Xiaomei! I am originally from a small farming town in southwest China. Before Swimlane, I lived in Paris, backpacked through Europe, and worked on cruise ships for a while. My husband and I (and our Shetland sheepdog) moved to Colorado in 2019 and we all love it here!

How long have you been with Swimlane?

I have been with Swimlane for about 9 months now.

What does your job entail?

The Office Manager part of my job involves keeping our HQ organized and full of tasty snacks; I also help arrange events hosted by Swimlane and fun stuff like trivia and volunteer outings. My other hat is HR Assistant, for which I assist with onboarding employees and answering HR-related questions.

What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?

People! I am surrounded by smart, helpful Swimlaners wherever I look.

What excites you most about your work?

I am learning something new every day!

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I do yoga, practice ping-pong, and enjoy as much of Colorado as I can.

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I learned most of my English by watching Desperate Housewives and Prison Break in college. 🙂

“Nourish what makes you feel confident, connected, contented. Opportunity will rise to meet you.”

Three words that best describe you:

I am a self-disciplined, broad-minded fireball.

What Swimlane core value resonates with you the most?

“Always be leveling up” – I am a firm believer in “what got you here won’t get you there.” For me, this means I am always trying to improve and get better.
