Swimlane Partners with CyberSecurity Malaysia to Address the Global Cybersecurity Skills Gap
Anyone who works in cybersecurity is painfully aware of the industry’s skills shortage. It’s one of the most difficult industries to find and retain qualified talent. According to the 2021 World Economic Forum (WEF) report, the global cybersecurity gap is roughly 3.12 million people. While this is undeniably a global challenge, the Asia Pacific (APAC) region feels this problem more acutely than the rest of the world. It is estimated that the APAC region alone is short 2.045 million cybersecurity professionals. This means that APAC’s cybersecurity workforce gap accounts for 66% of the global talent shortage.
