ThycoticCentrify Day 60 Update: Customer Excitement, Innovation During Integration

We’ve just completed Day 60 of our integration as ThycoticCentrify. I’m very excited about everything that our team has accomplished, how these two PAM industry leaders are coming together, and the positive feedback we’re hearing from customers.

CUSTOMER EXCITEMENT

Over the past 4+ months I’ve been able to engage with many Centrify and Thycotic customers, and I can tell that there is a huge amount of excitement about the complementary nature of our portfolios and the value of the integrated solutions we now offer.

As we have started sharing our combined solution information with customers, we frequently see eyes light up when customers get a glimpse of even greater innovation with integrated solutions that each company alone was not able to bring to the table.

For example, Secret Server adds more capabilities immediately for current Centrify customers. One customer in the services industry was “floored” upon seeing the ability to monitor and terminate RDP/SSH sessions and view recordings straight from the Web browser. They also loved the ease-of-use in a central web app, and integration with the likes of Splunk and ServiceNow.

Another area where we see a lot of excitement is with our solutions for the cloud. Support for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform are requirements, and a telecom customer said additional capabilities like managing Kubernetes and containers are a big part of their strategic direction.

DevOps and privilege is a hot topic, and customers are thrilled that PAM for DevOps is a key focus area for ThycoticCentrify. A global financial services customer recently engaged with us to leverage DevOps Secrets Vault and Account Lifecycle Manager to meet this critical need, and displace a competitor.

Finally, Centrify and Thycotic have unparalleled expertise and histories when it comes to PAM-as-a-Service and our breadth of deployment options. This is especially true as customers go multi-cloud and are looking for a best-of-breed PAM solution to better manage and secure access to cloud platforms and workloads.

All in all, we see a lot of areas where the strengths of the combined company are going to be a huge value add to our existing customer base, and we’re excited to share more about our product go-forward plan as we approach Day 90 next month.

INNOVATION ACCELERATION

As we integrate, we also know that we can’t slow down innovation. Our teams are aggressively moving forward with our existing roadmaps and releases, and bringing new capabilities to our customers across both Centrify and Thycotic portfolios.

At the RSA Conference in May, we announced a new cloud provider solution to centrally manage AWS billing accounts, identity and access management (IAM) accounts, and AWS instances in real-time. We’ll be bringing this solution to other cloud provider solutions soon.

We also recently delivered the Centrify 21.4 release, which delivers new functionalities for Centrify Cloud Suite including building policies to enforce mandatory MFA setup for users and granular administrative rights to grant more specific permissions to groups of users when delegating admin privileges. From continuous discovery to continuous monitoring and post-discovery automation, this latest release offers robust security and control over your AWS compute environment.

We’ve also strengthened security and compliance in DevOps with new advanced reporting enhancements to Thycotic DevOps Secrets Vault, with customized reports using advanced queries to return granular information on users, groups, secrets, and policies. This enables organizations to more quickly address security vulnerabilities in their DevOps process and protect critical privileged accounts from negligent insiders and malicious cyber attackers.

Finally, Thycotic Account Lifecycle Manager now enables IT teams to govern cloud-based service accounts with direct integrations to external vaults such as AWS and Azure, and service accounts used within the DevOps environment.

INDUSTRY ACCOLADES

We’ve also seen a steady stream of awards recognizing ThycoticCentrify’s leadership in 2021.

Two of our channel leaders, Katie McCroskey and Kara Trovato, were featured in CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel list, recognizing their commitment to the success of Thycotic’s partners.

Centrify was recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine at the RSA Conference, winning the Editor’s Choice award for Identity and Access Management in the 2021 Global InfoSec Awards.

And most recently, Thycotic bagged two IT World Awards, winning Gold for Hot Company of the Year—Security Cloud/SaaS and Bronze for Cloud Security.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

We are also continuing to execute on the operational integration strategy. We have several recent accomplishments which, while perhaps more important to us internally, are critical milestones in that journey. These projects will ensure that we are organized to better support our customers and partners, including:

  • Consolidated support infrastructure across the organization
  • Cross-training and enablement for sales, system engineers and our support teams
  • Alignment for single sales and marketing execution as of July 1
  • Defined product priorities and direction (go-forward plan)
  • Financial and legal entity consolidation

Thanks for your steadfast support of ThycoticCentrify, and your continued interest in our integration. I’ll continue to keep you updated here—check back often.
