SecZetta to Participate in Inaugural ‘Identity Management Day’

“Identity Management Day” aims to bring awareness to the intersection of identity and security

Fall River, Mass. – April 13, 2021 – Today, SecZetta announced that it will participate in ‘Identity Management Day,’ an annual awareness event that will take place on the second Tuesday in April each year. The inaugural Identity Management Day will be held on April 13, 2021. Founded by the Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA), the mission of Identity Management Day is to educate business leaders and IT decision makers on the importance of utilizing identity management to secure today’s modern enterprise.

SecZetta shares in the mission of the IDSA as the company’s flagship product, the SecZetta Third-Party Identity Risk solution, was created to bridge the gap between third-party risk management and identity management solutions.  To keep pace with the speed of innovation and high customer expectations, many organizations now provide network and data access to greater numbers of third-party users from partners, vendors, and contractors than actual employees.

Unfortunately, most organizations have no way to centrally track and manage the roles and access needs of these individual third-party users and often grant them access through their IGA tools.  SecZetta creates an authoritative source of information for these users that helps organizations make risk-based decisions about access and automate key identity lifecycle processes like onboarding and offboarding.  SecZetta helps improve the granularity and actionability of third-party risk management programs while at the same time increasing operational efficiency and reducing the cost of managing third-party access.

“SecZetta believes that the convergence of risk and identity solutions is necessary to adequately protect today’s modern enterprise that has increased connectivity through digital transformation efforts and adopted business practices that rely on providing outsiders like third-party users with insider access,” said David Pignolet, CEO and founder SecZetta.  “From managing third-party identity risk to establishing a master identity system of record, we ensure that organizations have the data they need to make well-informed, risk-based, access decisions.”

“Raising awareness around identity management is especially critical given research by the IDSA which reveals that 79% of organizations have experienced an identity-related security breach in the last two years, ” said Julie Smith, executive director of the IDSA. “Compounding this, the ongoing pandemic has accelerated digital transformation putting organizations at greater risk. Our hope is that Identity Management Day will result in higher prioritization of identity security and fewer data breaches.”

As part of Identity Management Day, the IDSA, along with the support of its member companies and the National Cyber Security Alliance, will provide valuable resources to help practitioners better manage and secure identities including information on processes and technology to support identity-centric security best practices
