How the Cybersecurity Industry Changed in 2020
As a result of the global pandemic, rapid digital transformation has shifted the cybersecurity landscape into uncharted territory. The massive influx of data to the cloud as a result of the shift to remote work environments has amplified Zero Trust frameworks across the globe.
In the interview below, Richard Stiennon, chief research analyst at IT-Harvest and a founding member of The Analyst Syndicate, discusses the evolution of the cyber world as a result of the pandemic. He places emphasis on how remote work has led to increased exposures, especially as it relates to an acceleration of RDP usage and consequent ransomware attacks.
Richard will provide insights into the history of the IT security industry and highlight some surprising growth he’s seen in several sectors despite the constraints of COVID-19 during his session “How the Cybersecurity Industry Changed in 2020” at Cybersecurity 2021 on March 5.
Those who attend his keynote session live will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win his latest security novel “Security Yearbook 2020: A History and Directory of the IT Security Industry.”
