Beware of Counterfeits
May 14, 2020, Campell, CA: Beware of Bitglass competitor distributing counterfeit Bitglass product brochures to confuse customers.
Yesterday, we received a copy of a counterfeit Bitglass product brochure. Carries our logo and looks official though entirely fake and full of false statements. Closer examination shows that the counterfeit brochures are being created and distributed by the competitor it favors, and carries their logo in the footer.
On the one hand, it is flattering that a competitor would go to such lengths. We certainly understand that it is difficult for them to compete with us on technology.
On the other hand, it is clear that when excess capital is invested in weak teams and companies, strange things can happen. Some companies fake their own brochures and call it marketing. But creating counterfeits of competitor’s brochures is not marketing, it is simply criminal behavior.
