Successful CISOs Spend Lots of Time Doing this One Essential Activity

Laura Whitt-Winyard, Global CISO, DLL

Knowledge is power. Knowing is half the battle. The way of success is the way of continuous pursuit of knowledge. There are hundreds of inspirational quotes about knowledge, presumably because knowledge is so valued, and therefore so highly coveted. If you’re a CISO, knowledge is invaluable. When you know your organization’s vulnerabilities, whether they stem from processes, systems, or people, you can address them proactively. This knowledge spares you from sleepless nights, from the shame of a data breach or cyber attack, and from the need to find a new job or career path. Conversely, in the absence of knowledge, you and your organization are sitting ducks.

I recently sat down with Laura Whitt-Winyard, Global CISO for DLL, to learn about her unique role as a global CISO. In this video, Laura discusses her approach to knowledge and how she uses it to keep her organization protected against the latest cybersecurity threats.
