What do you do at Delphix and what inspired you to join the company?

As the senior partner marketing manager on the corporate marketing team, I work closely with our entire partner ecosystem (cloud, ISV, GSI, and VAR) to ensure mutual pipeline growth, customer relevance, and of course, introduce new streams of revenue to Delphix and our valued partners.

Prior to joining Delphix, I was with CA Technologies for nearly 7 years in a variety of customer-facing roles in direct sales, selling continuous delivery and test data management solutions as well as channel management and customer marketing. Given my background, I knew I had a profound opportunity to make a material impact on Delphix, our partners, and our customers.

I was inspired to join Delphix because of its relentless focus on fostering a culture that encourages professional growth and hiring top-notch talent from the industry. In addition to this,  it’s game-changing technology that enables business innovation and growth, which in turn, allows our partners to introduce new efficiency streams and helps our customers innovate better and faster than their competitors

You can ask me anything about…?

You can ask me anything about integrated channel marketing and pipeline generation.

Channel marketing requires an integrated, end-to-end approach for go-to-market initiatives, partner competencies, focus, field alignment and pipeline propensity. Because our partner ecosystem is so robust, it’s not uncommon to leverage multi-channel, multi-tiered campaigns that are far-reaching, which creates a pipeline in two-fold through different layers of our partner ecosystem.

What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on at Delphix?

One of my favorite initiatives has been working with our cloud providers to help our customers address the complex challenges of managing, migrating, and securing workloads in hybrid and cloud environments. Together with one of our cloud partners, I helped drive a joint go-to-market strategy, ran the program through our resellers for further market penetration, and addressed delivery at the regional and global system integrator level.

While it is significant that this program leveraged so many tiers of our partner ecosystem, the real value was demonstrated in the customer outcomes. We’ve been able to show that our plan was measurable and addressed each stage from assessment and procurement to implementation against the business objectives.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Growing up in a culturally southern home, I’ve heard more times than I can count that all I will ever have in life is “my good name.” I’ve come to appreciate the message about having good character from a very young age. Character, integrity, and as an ode to my southern family, having a “good name” will define the lasting impression you leave on a relationship, both personally and professionally. Not only will it shape the relationships with those who want to interact with you and do business with you, but character and integrity will mark your lasting legacy.

If you could have any superhero power, which one would you choose?

If I could have any superhero power, teleporting would be my top choice. It’s not uncommon for me to travel three to four days a week. If I were able to teleport, not only would I have more time to complete critical projects with partners and customers, but I would be able to see my kids wake up every day. I don’t think it could get much better than that!

What song instantly puts you in a good mood?

Oh, this is such a hard question. Music is such a massive part of my life, and it’s so hard to pick one song. My parents did such a great job of raising us with exposure to so many different genres and styles of music that I’m lucky there are so many songs from different eras that make me put on my “boogie shoes.”

If I have to pick one, “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by The Temptations is a top contender. When that song comes on, it’s guaranteed that you’ll hear some off-key singing, probably louder than desired or necessary and some sweet dance moves.

What drives you everyday?

Commitment. I’m incredibly devoted to perform at my highest level each and every day, and I hold myself to very high expectations on the quality of work I deliver. Having spent the majority of my career in sales, I think about everything in terms of quota, performance, and KPIs. Not only do I strive for my personal best, but I want to be the best. I’ve learned that my competitive nature and results-driven approach have helped me benchmark against my growth and goals.

I’ve never been with a team or company that rows together so synergistically with so much dedication. It’s impossible to work here and not jump in and grab an oar. I see that same level of enthusiasm from our partners, which fuels my commitment to our mutual success in helping customers solve their most complex challenges with DataOps.

Beyond exceeding expectations professionally, I feel a tremendous responsibility to my family. My responsibility to them is multi-faceted. My husband has championed my career and ambitions, so I deeply honor this renaissance man and all of his selflessness of taking every day and opportunity by the reigns and bettering our lives. Last but not least, the single biggest driver in my life is my children. I want them to understand how important a good work ethic is and know that giving up is not an option because success is a journey.
