Building The Idaptive Identity

As a startup spin-off, there are many things about Idaptive’s culture that make it unique. Unlike most startups that begin with a blank slate and the freedom to write their own story, Idaptive’s culture is an interesting mix of inherited DNA coexisting alongside a new identity. It takes time and effort to build an organization’s culture. We knew that the transition was not going to be easy on our people and so we consciously decided to continue with existing policies and programs to maintain a sense of continuity amidst the change.

With the half year mark as an independent company approaching, a distinct new identity is evolving as we leverage our experience to shape new thinking. Idaptive believes in fostering a culture where people feel valued, engaged, and inspired to work collaboratively together to build something that is greater than the sum of its parts. Whether it is organizing IdapTalks, a fun event, or Tech Session, we are always looking for ways to bring people together to foster ideas, creativity and team bonding.

As a new organization, I am very conscious of the fact that the people we choose to bring into the company will play a big part in shaping Idaptive’s new identity. This is why we go the extra mile to ensure we hire the right people. We test them not just for technical competence but also for their ability to work collaboratively and be valued team players.

Communication and commitment are equally strong value drivers for us. For us, communication means that every employee has a voice and feels empowered to use it constructively and effectively. Regular email blasts from the CEO, All Hands meetings, and even this blog are all initiatives designed to ensure employees remain informed and engaged. Lastly and above all, we want our commitment to our customers to reflect in every decision and action at Idaptive.

Let me leave you with the following thought that I think sums up beautifully what we are trying to achieve here at Idaptive.

“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
– Henry Ford, Ford Motor Company
