Cyber Security Workshop: Stronger Together

Last week at Checkmarx we hosted an official delegation from Thüringen, Germany for a Cyber Security workshop organized by Checkmarx, AHK Israel, and LEG Thüringen, the State Development Corporation, under the theme “Stronger Together.” The workshop was designed to serve as a knowledge exchange platform between all participating parties from Israel and Germany, at all levels, and focused on cyber security technology, innovation, and of course business.

Cyber Security Workshop

At the workshop we discussed the importance of application security, Checkmarx’s Software Exposure Platform and its pivotal role in DevSecOps. The increased complexity of software and the need to keep up with fast-paced release cycles creates new types of risk in the form of Software Exposure. Managing Software Exposure is an emerging discipline for eliminating all software-related vulnerabilities to accurately understand and reduce your business risk. Our goal is to help many companies around the world develop, manage, and maintain their application security programs.

The key note speaker at the workshop was Mr. Roy Yarom—The Israel National Cyber Directorate, who described “Israel’s Approach to the Cyber Security Challenge.” We also heard from Mr. Richard Clayton from Check Point Software Technologies, a global cyber security leader, who described “Check Point’s Cyber security Way of Thinking,” and Mr. Eyal Balicer, Principal at Glilot Capital Partners. Mr. Balicer explained what VC investors see in the cyber security market.

Presentations

We also learned about new innovations and cyber security technologies presented by several interesting companies, including:

Cognigo: Human-Free GDPR Compliance and Data Protection

BitDam: Stop advanced cyber attacks, before they are delivered.

GuardiCore.com: Securing the Software Defined Data Center

Q-SOFT: Wir machen Sie sicher – Unsere IT – Security Lösungen (We make you safe – our IT security solutions)

Cyber Observer: Comprehensive Cybersecurity Management

Safe-T: Software-Defined Access for the Hybrid Cloud

Fostering open discussions and identifying synergies between cyber security vendors and their solutions is a priority for Checkmarx. As we continue to innovate and advance our leadership in application security, we welcome collaborations and partnerships with companies from organizations around the world. Feel free to reach out if your organization is interested in building technology or business partnerships with us. We’re excited to work with companies from around the world to improve software security and reduce software exposure.
