Is Texas becoming a hub for Pentesting Companies?

Texas is experiencing a surge of corporate relocations and expansions not seen in a long time. The companies that migrated to Texas came from 17 different states and three different nations. California had the most business migration, with 25 companies electing to shift their headquarters to Texas. The United Kingdom, followed by Israel, has the most international corporate relocations to Texas. There were 15 distinct industries represented among the enterprises that relocated to Texas. The leading industry to relocate to the state was technology, followed by manufacturing. In 2021, there were 95 Texas companies on the Fortune 1000 list. Texas enters 2022 as the world’s ninth-largest economy. In this article we will come to know why Texas is becoming hub for pentesting companies.

Three key elements pushing relocation:

  • Tax policy: Business taxes in Texas are minimal, and there is no personal income tax. Texas currently has the lowest combined state and federal corporate tax rate in the country at 21%. In comparison to California’s high tax rates, Texas is a far more appealing option for enterprises.
  • Low Cost of Living: The cost of living in Texas is low, as are utility and transportation costs. Furthermore, the entire procedure of acquiring land and obtaining building permission is fairly quick. Corporate rents in Texas are also lower than in other megacities.
  • Talent availability: With a graduation rate of 90%, Texas has one of the highest graduation rates in the country.  From 2019 to 2022, Austin saw a 36.9% increase in tech talent. As the number of tech companies relocating to the state grows, so does the number of talented people in a range of fields. For the 9th year in a row, Texas leads the nation in high-tech exports, exporting $50 billion in 2021.
