Business Intelligence Group Names Winners of the 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Awards

BOULDER, Colo. – June 14, 2022 – ManagedMethods, the leading cloud security and safety platform for K-12 district technology teams, is proud to announce our 4th annual win in the 2022 Fortress Cyber Security Awards. ManagedMethods’ cloud application security platform was named a winner in the Application Security category.

“The cyber security industry is more important than ever as our reliance on networks continues to accelerate, our identities and data have quickly become global currency,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “We are proud to recognize all of our winners and finalists who are on the frontlines of the effort to prepare, defend and respond to this growing threat.”

District information systems are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals, who can expect to gain access to highly valuable information about students, parents/guardians, and staff with relatively little effort in many cases. While there are about as many cybersecurity tools on the market as there are stars in the sky, most are targeted toward enterprise-level businesses with dedicated InfoSec staff and big budgets.

ManagedMethods is purpose-built for the many unique needs and challenges that K-12 technology teams face. The simple and intuitive UI was developed, and continues to be improved, based on customer feedback and user testing. Providing system admins the ability to automate many mundane, yet critical tasks allows them to do more with less.

“Working with vendors can be frustrating for those of us in K-12. The cost conversation is a challenging conversation to have because they’ll often treat schools with limited budgets and resources the same as all their other customers. ManagedMethods is different,” explains Neal Richardson, CISO at Hillsboro-Deering School District. “The platform works, the price is right, and it’s focused on K-12 and our unique needs. On top of that, their customer service is exceptional. Every interaction I have had with every member of the team at ManagedMethods has been positive.”

ManagedMethods’ platform monitors school district Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 email, file sharing, chat, and video apps 24/7/365 and empowers district IT admins with full visibility and control of their cloud environment.

ManagedMethods uses cloud-native API integrations to help district IT admins secure sensitive data on any device, from any location. The platform uses artificial intelligence-powered malware and phishing threat protection, detects and remediates account takeovers, and secures data from malicious and accidental breaches.

“We’re honored to be recognized again by this year’s Fortress Cyber Security Awards, because it’s important to everyone on the ManagedMethods team to provide enterprise-level cybersecurity and support to district technology teams at K-12 friendly prices,” says Charlie Sander, CEO at ManagedMethods. “We hear first-hand from people we work with every day how our platform has helped make their jobs a little easier, and how it has impacted the lives of many vulnerable students and staff. I’m proud of the work and the passion that my team has committed to this important mission.”
