Spanning’s Matthew McDermott Awarded Microsoft MVP for 15th Year in a Row

Congratulations to Spanning’s Director of Product ManagementMatthew McDermott, on being awarded the Most Valuable Professional award by Microsoft for his contributions to the community in the area of Office Apps and Services for the 15th year in a row!

Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) are technology experts who actively share their knowledge and help others within the greater Microsoft community.  MVPs make up a global community of more than 4,000 technical experts and community leaders across 90 countries/regions. What unites them is their passion, community spirit, and quest for knowledge.

“I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing, global community of like-minded techies. This award is doubly special as it comes in the second year of the pandemic where teaching and sharing knowledge has moved mainly online,” Matt says. “I am encouraged that my continued efforts through YouTube and StackExchange are reaching the community during this time of fewer live events.

“I love to teach and help people realize their goals through the application of technology. The adoption of Microsoft 365 continues to soar as remote work and hybrid work becomes commonplace — which leads to more opportunities to connect new features to changing the way we work and live.”

In addition to blogging for Spanning,  you can find Matt on his personal blog https://ableblue.com/blog and his YouTube Channel https://youtube.com/ableblue.
