Cyral 4.5 Release: Converges DAM, PAM, DLP, and DSPM into Single Solution

Cyral is excited to announce that version 4.5 of the Cyral Platform is now generally available. The latest release of the platform combines the capabilities of Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) in a single platform.

This release significantly improves data security governance capabilities and reduces the complexity and cost of protecting an enterprise’s most sensitive datasets.

As enterprises continue to migrate their most critical datasets to the cloud, we saw that most companies didn’t have a complete understanding of “what data do I have”, “where is the data stored”, “what users and applications have access to the data”, or even “how that data is used”. Security teams were left to stitch together various point tools in attempts to answer these basic questions — their efforts were cumbersome and expensive, and the results were inadequate.

Cyral’s unique architecture, which supports production databases and data lakes across multiple environments, served as a platform that could provide a single source of truth for data security and data governance. Version 4.5 of the Cyral Platform marks an important milestone for the company, our customers, and the market.
