DTEX Partners with Leading Cybersecurity Companies & the Australian Government to Cultivate Talent

According to an (ISC)² Cybersecurity Workforce Study, the global shortage of cybersecurity professionals is estimated to be 2.72 million people. In Adelaide, Australia, DTEX and other leading cybersecurity companies, including Splunk and CrowdStrike, are taking significant strides alongside Australian government entities to bridge the talent gap and cultivate new talent in the industry.

With this, Lot Fourteen, Adelaide’s globally connected precinct for innovation, entrepreneurship, research, education, culture, and tourism announced earlier this month that a proposal for the establishment of a $60 million Digital Technologies Academy has been given the green light by the Australian government. The new Academy will offer digital technologies and cyber-related education and training, delivering a pipeline of professionals to meet rapidly growing labor demands across a broad range of high-tech sectors.

DTEX, Splunk, CrowdStrike, and others will be critical in providing training and mentorship to students to help ensure the success of this academy. We’re extremely excited and eager to work alongside our peers to achieve our common goal of cultivating new talent that can feel prepared to take positions at top global cybersecurity organizations upon the completion of this academy.

This is not only a tremendous opportunity to continue to grow Adelaide as a top cybersecurity hub, but an opportunity to help bridge the global talent shortage to better protect organizations given the many vulnerabilities they face as a result of today’s complicated threat landscape.
