GrammaTech Named a SINET16 Cybersecurity Innovator

sinet-grammatech

Each year, SINET evaluates the technologies and products from all over the world with hundreds of cybersecurity companies being considered. Of these, 16 are chosen for being the most innovative, known as the SINET16 Innovators. This year, GrammaTech is proud to be recognized as one of the world’s most innovative cybersecurity companies by SINET.

What makes the SINET16 Innovator Awards so coveted is that past award winners have had great success in the market—reaching unicorn status, going public and being acquired such as CrowdStrike, Cylance, Duo, FireEye, Menlo Security and others. Innovative cybersecurity companies are evaluated by the SINET Judging Committee, a notable group of over 117 industry experts including private and government security professionals with leading risk executives, experts in government intelligence and defense agencies, venture capitalists, and investment bankers.

SINET used the following criteria to evaluate companies and products/services based on the following (taken directly from SINET’s website):

  • The urgency in the marketplace for their products and solutions
  • How innovative and unique their solutions are
  • How well their products and technologies solve real and significant cybersecurity problems
  • What advantages exist over other solutions
  • The companies’ ability to succeed based on the state of their product, capital, and leadership
  • For very early stage or small companies, specific business plans describing future growth will be a component of the evaluation.

GrammaTech was selected from a pool of 190 applications from 18 countries, following two rounds of evaluation by the SINET Judging Committee and was named a SINET16 Innovator Award winner for 2021.

We are being recognized for our game changing binary analysis capabilities that give organizations visibility into the risk and security vulnerabilities in commercial off-the-shelf applications they use to support their business. By using GrammaTech CodeSentry, enterprises are able to find open source components in their mission critical software and detect exploitable vulnerabilities by scanning application binaries, while also generating their own software bill of materials (SBOM.) The importance of SBOMs is increasing with the heightened awareness of software supply chain security. SBOMs, among other benefits, are providing organizations leverage with their software vendors to remediate vulnerabilities and proactively prevent threats.
