Cisco Live Las Vegas by Brian Contos
Well, it was a great first day at Cisco Live Las Vegas. I was able to connect with some of the awesome folks on the Cisco Investment Portfolio Development Team that helped put this event together like Hitesh Saijpal, Tod Hays, and Walter Hu. This team is really wonderful. They are key to helping Cisco attack the big security problems including cost, complexity, and talent.
Collectively, Cisco has some real groundbreaking investments in their security portfolio. I had a chance to spend a little time with some old friends from other Cisco investments like Exabeam’s CEO/Co-founder Nir Polak, EVP Field Operations Ralph Pisani, and CMO Rick Caccia. These guys are crushing it in the SIEM and UEBA space.
The Verodin Security Instrumentation Platform (SIP) message was received extremely well by the attendees. Our mission of changing the security industry and truly helping customers achieve security ROI by validating that their “security stuff works” is really resonating. It’s intuitive, it’s timely and it’s needed.
We’re all looking forward to what Cisco Live brings us tomorrow!
