There Are No Backups

The truth is that a vast number of System Engineers, Systems Administrators, Backup Administrators and Security Engineers habitually fail to test backups of their respective organization’s data, resident at off-premises/on-premises cloud infrastructure prior to any incident/blackout.

Fundamentally, Information Security professionals and Systems professionals should all be intimately aware of daily backup testing rigor – leading to confirmation of the viability of the bits backed up (including the (hopefully) wise location of those bits). It’s all about the spoon…
