Avast Attends Viva Technology 2019 in Paris | Avast

We are excited to be at this year’s Viva Technology, a global meeting of leaders and startups being held May 16-18 this week at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. If you missed us at MWC in Barcelona last February, here’s another chance to meet our cyber experts and discover what the future holds for cybersecurity and protection.

Avast CEO Vince Steckler will address current threats to the connected home and the brand new Avast security solutions developed to fight them. He will be joined by Avast Security Ambassador Garry Kasparov and Professor Noel Sharkey for a lively discussion on the responsible utilization of artificial intelligence.

Topic: Vince and Garry will address new challenges posed by connected homes and

smart technologies. They will discuss the role and responsibility of the industry

in terms of technological security and personal privacy, highlighting the specific

fragility of security in French homes.

Chess Grandmaster Garry Kasparov vs. 10 Players

Who: Avast Security Ambassador Garry Kasparov takes on 10 brave souls at once

When: Friday, May 17th, 12:00pm

Where: Arena Stage

Topic: See the world’s most famous chess master battle 10 players at once in an

unforgettable grand match. Garry will participate in two consecutive grand

matches of about 60 minutes each.
