Are we a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

In the ’80s and ’90s, there was a popular TV program called “Siskel & Ebert.” It was a weekly television series where two critics reviewed newly released movies. The critics, Gene Siskel and Robert Ebert, would talk about points of the movie they liked or how the director filmed certain scenes. Then they would rate the movies overall and give them either a thumbs up or thumbs down.

Recently, KuppingerCole, the Siskel & Ebert of the cybersecurity world, reviewed our flagship product SecurDPS Enterprise. KuppingerCole is an international and independent analyst organization that offers neutral and practical advice, expertise, and thought leadership on a wide range of information security topics.

The review process began in late 2018 and was led by KuppingerCole’s Alexei Balaganski. Alexei took a very thorough approach while creating his report by combing through our product documentation, receiving product presentations and demos, having roadmap discussions, and reviewing customer use cases. He also took time to understand our company history, corporate culture, and direction.

Product reviews from KuppingerCole aren’t summarized with a simple thumbs up or down rating. Instead, their findings are reflected in a “Strengths and Challenges” section, which offers a balanced assessment of how their analyst sees the product in the market.

In the review of our product, Alexei explains how comforte AG came from a mission-critical systems background and applied those core concepts to our product. SecurDPS Enterprise is built for businesses that rely on service availability that never stops and therefore need non-stop data protection.

He also explains how SecurDPS Enterprise utilizes tokenization technology, which has long been one of the recommended data protection technologies under regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS. Finally, he lists 3 differentiating factors that make SecurDPS stand out among many other similar solutions available on the market.

Want to know what those 3 differentiators are? Well, you’re just going to have to read his review for yourself! And while you’re at it, take a look at the section on integration too; it tells you how to protect data as close to the source as possible and lists 3 ways it can be done.

We highly recommend you check out the review, send it to members of your team who are closer to data security, and share it on LinkedIn and Twitter to impress all your techie friends and colleagues.

And of course, we would love to hear YOUR feedback. Feel free to leave a comment on our LinkedIn page, hit the ‘like’ button or, if you’re feeling like Siskel & Ebert, let us know if you think SecurDPS is a thumbs up or down.
