Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
WASHINGTON, D.C., December 7, 2018 — Thycotic, provider of privileged account management (PAM) solutions for more than 10,000 organizations worldwide, today announced that it has been named a Visionary by Gartner, Inc. in its December 2018 Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management.1
Gartner recently published its top 10 Security Projects for 2018 with Privileged Account Management listed as No. 1.2
PAM security provides a more inclusive picture of security events that involve privileged accounts and gives IT security staff a better indication of security problems that need to be corrected, or those that require additional analysis.
Thycotic’s Secret Server solution, which provides enterprise-grade password security and privileged account management for organizations of all sizes and any type of deployment, was evaluated based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.
“We believe our position as a Visionary in this report emphasizes the impact our solution has in providing companies with securing access to sensitive systems and reducing the risk of getting compromised by disclosed passwords on the dark web,” said Joseph Carson, chief security scientist at Thycotic. “One of the major reasons that Privileged Access Management is the top priority for organizations in 2018 is that it saves them time and money while reducing risk.”
